Janmac Spring ram sale sold 25 rams to one buyer
Janmac White Suffolk and Poll Dorset stud’s spring ram sale was dubbed a success within the current market conditions, with a high clearance and a return from long term clients who purchased a volume of 25 rams. With the sale split between Poll Dorset and White Suffolk rams the Poll Dorset rams sold twice to a top price of $2,600 and cleared 151 of 164 rams to an average $1293. Janmac White Suffolk rams were sold in the second half of the sale, and had a top price of $1,800 with 33 of 44 rams cleared.

Hausler family’s Janmac Poll Dorset ram sells to Athlone stud
Wimmera stud Janmac Poll Dorset & White Suffolks has recorded a total clearance of its Poll Dorset progeny at its 18th on-property ram sale at Goroke, selling the entire draft of 149 rams at auction. The Hausler family sold 16 Poll Dorset stud rams to a top price of $7000 to average $3281, 133 Poll Dorset flock rams to $3000 to average $1977 and 30 of 40 White Suffolk rams to $2800 to average $1726.

17th Annual Production Sale
The Hausler families’ 17th Annual Production in Goroke last Wednesday delivered another successful sale result with a total of 174 rams selling through the ring. A big crowd of local buyers joined online bidders at Janmac Poll Dorset and White Suffolk Stud to witness 137 Poll Dorset rams selling to a top of $7,500, with a strong average of $1969 with 36 White Suffolk rams hitting a top of $3,500 and averaging $1477.

16th Annual Production Sale
Overcoming cross border challenges, Janmac Poll Dorset & White Suffolk stud set a new sale volume record for it’s16th annual on-property sale at Goroke, Victoria, on Wednesday October 7, and doubled its previous year’s top price ram result. Janmac sits 46 kilometres from the South Australian border, six kilometres outside the SA/Vic border buffer zone, meaning SA agents and buyers were not able attend the annual stud sale in person this year.

15th Annual Production Sale
A record highest average to date, substantially up from the previous year, plus a total clearance of all lots offered were the outstanding highlights at the Hausler family’s 40th Anniversary and 15th Annual Production sale from their Poll Dorset and White Suffolk studs at Goroke last Wednesday (2nd Oct).

14th Annual Production Sale
Large volume orders from both sides of the SA-Vic border ensured Janmac’s 14th annual production sale at Goroke, Vic, on Wednesday last week was a great success. The Hausler family achieved a near total clearance on close to 200 rams, with 152 of 160 Poll Dorset rams averaging $1414, while all 35 White Suffolks averaged $1163. The average was back $274 on the Poll Dorsets but was still up more than $150 on 2016.

13th Annual Production Sale
The Hausler family’s Janmac Poll Dorset and White Suffolk ram sale at Goroke last Wednesday (4th October) achieved a total clearance of an increased offering of 184 rams, soaring to a new record average of $1643, up $348 on last year’s previous Janmac record average. The sale topped at $5000, but such was the strength of consistent bidding on the wonderfully grown and presented paddock reared rams, that not one sold under $1200 and 77% sold in the tight range of $1400 to $1800.

12th Annual Production Sale
RECORDS tumbled at Goroke last Wednesday at Janmac’s ram sale. In their 12th year, the Hausler families’ stud achieved their best ever sale result, with a total clearance of 170 Poll Dorset & White Suffolk rams topping at $5600 and averaging of $1248. Very keen competition ensued between the 49 registered new and repeat buyers.Each of the first 10 rams sold for more than $1600 and wasn’t until very late in the catalogue that the price fell below $1000. Selling for the Janmac’s highest ever price of $5600, Lot 3 was bought by Rick Foster, Haven Park Enterprises, Casterton through TDC, Penola, SA.

11th Annual Production Sale
The Hausler family staged a wonderful high quality presentation of 170 Poll Dorset and White Suffolk rams for sale at their 11th annual Janmac ram sale last Wednesday 7th October and achieved a total clearance at an overall $1107 average, their second best ever sale result. While this made the vendors and their families very happy, it was also a great day for the 43 registered repeat and new buyers.

10th Annual Production Sale
A great following by clients who appreciate the carcase qualities and performance of Janmac Poll Dorset and White Suffolk rams, plus several new clients contributed to a terrific sale result last week at Goroke. The Hausler family penned a wonderful line-up of 140 Poll Dorset rams and 24 White Suffolk rams that were very well paddock grown displaying weights around 120 to 140kg, but they were ‘hard’ with a capacity to still grow on.

9th Annual Production Sale
Wonderful local support ensured the 9th Annual Sale of the Janmac Poll Dorsets, and first offering by auction of White Suffolks was a great success. With a cloud hanging over the stud following two clear OJD abattoir surveillance tests, but one sheep only showing as “inconclusive” result on a third PCR 350 test, the stud was restricted to selling to Victorian buyers only.
