Lamb positivity pays at Janmac annual offering

Co-principal Grant Hausler said there was “a lot of positivity in the shed” on Wednesday, when the stud hosted their annual sale at Goroke, Victoria.

Janmac records full clearance of 181 rams in ‘overwhelming’ result

Janmac Poll Dorset and White Suffolk stud wrapped up one of its most successful on-property sales at Goroke on Wednesday.

Janmac stud co-principals Grant and Bryce Hausler said the family was “overwhelmed” at the success of the sale.

The stud achieved a full clearance rate and the largest number of registered buyers ever recorded in 21 years of auctions.

“We couldn’t believe it,” Grant Hausler said.

Prime lamb game set to pay dividends this spring

If there was ever a year to “step into good sheep,” this is it, says Grant Hausler of Janmac Studs.

“The team of rams you buy this year will hopefully take you into a good season and good prices, and what you purchase now is going to sire 150 lambs or more, that’s a pretty good investment,” he said.
